Represent Air Force criminal defendants worldwide as first chair counsel in the federal criminal appellate process. Office expert and selected as presenter at the 1st Annual Military Joint Appellate Defenders Conference attended by all military service appellate defense divisions. Presented briefing on "Information Technology Crimes" and the application of cutting edge technology to the trial and appellate criminal practice, including Internet crimes, newsgroups, web sites, hackers, and Internet child pornography cases.
Chief, Labor Law
First chair legal counsel responsible for investigating and representing the Air Force in base wide labor relation and employment matters. Litigated on behalf of the federal government as first chair counsel before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, and federal arbitrations. Advised and assessed potential litigation exposure and reviewed all civilian labor & employment disciplinary actions as primary legal counsel for senior level executives. Improve government labor & employment relations by effectively representing government interests as chief legal negotiator in federal labor contract negotiations with civilian federal labor union. First chair negotiator in settling $300,000 Title VII sexual harassment federal lawsuit. Recognized with national Air Force Commendation Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster). Drafted and argued case dispositive motions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Merit Systems Protection Board. Over 500 hours of courtroom labor & employment litigation experience in labor trials.
Chief, Military justice & Adverse Actions
Chief prosecutor for Andrews Air Force Base with responsibility for base wide criminal prosecutions. Supervised staff of 3 paralegals and coordinated 5 rotating prosecutors for criminal prosecutions. Advised and assessed criminal liability and reviewed all criminal justice disciplinary matters as primary prosecutor for senior level executives. Supervise, coordinate, and conduct criminal trials and involuntary administrative discharge board hearings of Air Force members. Cases prosecuted include drug use, drug possession, sodomy, computer crimes, larceny, assault, forgery, dereliction of duty, false official statement, and DUI. Hands-on management skills reduced trial processing times by 30 percent. Over 1, 000 hours of courtroom trial litigation experience.
Special Assistant United States Attorney
First chair legal counsel and primary prosecutor responsible for the investigation and prosecution of all federal misdemeanor crimes committed by civilian offenders on military installations. Cases prosecuted include DUI, drug possession, shoplifting, trespassing, and assault. Drafted and argued case dispositive motions before Federal Magistrates Court Judges and Federal District Court. Over 1,200 hours of courtroom trial advocacy litigation experience.

Responsible for United States Air Force Appellate Defense office information systems trouble-shooting. Manage all computer equipment, software, and their interfaces to office systems and base networks. Plan for short and long term loss of system hardware and software. Configure operating system software to meet users needs. Review organizations need for computer resources by identifying training needs, manpower issues, and equipment costs. Ensure workstations, peripherals, communications devices and software are online, configured, and available to support users. Coordinate, facilitate, and manage the rollout of new litigation support technology. Serve as liaison between legal office end user and installation network manager.
